Another Kind of Blue: Flirt with Reality

Why Watch Another Kind of Blue: Flirt with Reality

Much of the show is based on the concept of ‘technological singularity’ – a hypothetical point of time that marks the advent of superintelligent AI that surpasses human control. The elaborate dance routines put together by the team have managed to propel them to the finals of America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent in two separate seasons. The world presented by the dancers seems eerily alien, yet strangely relatable. It relies on several elements such as music, drones, lighting, and flawless dancing, all working together in perfect harmony to produce a magnificent display.

The Show

Flirt With Reality consists of five choreographies, three of which have never been seen on stage before. One of the dances is an enhanced version of ‘Blue Journey’, the same routine that earned the team a spot in the finals of the 2014 season of America’s Got Talent. The allure of creating new realities is the root of both dance and technology; of art and science. The fusion of artistic expression with technology opens up a slew of possibilities that are explored in the show. Watch as the dancers figuratively and literally collide with the virtual projections created all around them by flying drones. This brilliant dreamscape that incorporates rhythm, deep ideas, gravity-defying dancing, and cutting-edge technology is perhaps one of the most inventive and gorgeous displays this season at the West End.
