Anything Goes returns to London!

Reno Sweeney is an evangelist and nightclub singer en route to England from New York aboard the ocean liner, S.S. American. But unfortunately for Reno, it’s not all smooth sailing. Her stowaway friend Billy Crocker is also onboard, in an attempt to be near his beloved, Hope Harcourt. So what’s the issue? Hope is already betrothed to the affluent Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Adding to the confusion, Moonface Martin—Public Enemy #13—and his partner-in-crime, Erma are onboard too. With the help of tap-dancing sailors, intricate disguises, and a little blackmail, Martin and Reno work together to help Billy on his quest of winning Hope’s heart.
Anything Goes first debuted in 1934 on Broadway before moving to London’s West End. The golden age musical was written by Cole Porter and PG Wodehouse. It has enjoyed many revivals since its premiere, including a production by Kathleen Marshall, who choreographed and directed the show in 2011. Marshall is back once again with a brand new iteration of the show for 2021, working with lighting designer Neil Austin, set designer Derek McLane, musical supervisor Stephen Ridley, and sound designer Simon Baker.
