Artistic Director Liv Lorent (MBE) founded balletLORENT in 1993. Over the years, it has since won acclaim with its attractive productions and perfect delivery. The company tours both nationally and internationally and achieves high praise for its work. Love Struck, The Night Ball, Underneath The Floorboards, Sweat & Tears, Designer Body, Angelmoth, la nuit intime, The Ball and Strange Glitter are some of its smash-hit productions.

The company has won several awards such as A Herald Angel Award LUXURIA 2006, the Arts Foundation Choreography Award, the Jerwood Choreography Award 2001, Fantastic for Families Audience Choice Award for Rumpelstiltskin, Performance of the Year for Rapunzel, Finalist for Families Audience Choice Award for Rumpelstiltskin, and Finalist for Best Independent Company at the Critic’s Circle National Dance Awards 2019.

balletLORENT’s artistic programme created a trilogy of fairytales – Rapunzel, Snow White and Rumpelstiltskin. The creative minds behind them were Director Liv Lorent and Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy. Following their success, Caron Ann Duffy created this original fairytale, taking the theatre scene by storm. Adding to the show’s creative elements is multiple BAFTA Award-nominee Murray Gold of Doctor Who. He oversees the show’s score.
