Evan’s need for friends

A teenage boy suffering from social anxiety receives a strange remedy from his therapist. He is asked to write letters to himself regularly, emphasizing on the good events of the day. His mother tells him that he can make a few friends in school by getting the students to sign the plaster on his arm. His desire to make friends puts him in a tough spot when he forges a fake relationship with a deceased student only to get close to the boy’s family. As proof of his friendship with the boy, Hansen even creates a fake email account. However, he becomes part of a viral video about loneliness and friendship after a suicide note is posted on the Internet.

Although the once awkward Evan is now recognised by everyone, his lies bury him deeper. He builds a good bond with the dead boy’s family but his connection with his real mother starts to break. He is close to winning the love of the girl he likes, but at what cost? He will need to make major choices. Whether he chooses to put forth the truth or continue to lie, his decisions will have a major effect on his life and everybody he holds dear.
