The Oi Frog and Friends Play – A lovely time for children
Travellers can engage in several activities during a London trip. Those enjoying theatre and travelling with children, for instance, can catch the lighthearted Oi Frog & Friends play.
The play is adapted from the famous children’s picture book, ‘Oi Frog & Friends! Oi Dog!’ by Jim Field and Chris Grey. The book was nominated for the British Book Awards and won the Laugh Out Loud Picture of 2017. Exceptionally popular among kids, especially for its enthralling rhymes and comedic storytelling, the book’s art is truly unique and noteworthy.
After selling more than a million copies, it is hardly surprising that the material was adapted into a musical production for the stage. Children who are already familiar with the colourful and vivid characters in the book can now see them come to life during the Oi Frog & Friends play. A perfectly suitable entertainment option for children aged between 3 and 10 years, the rendition promises to be the perfect introduction for kids into the lovely world of theatre.
The little ones in the audience love puppets, music, cheerful music and rhymes of the play, making the show the perfect treat for your child. The easily remembered rhymes are catchy and entice kids to sing along with the on-stage characters.
The scintillating story
At Sitting Bottom school, each student must sit on items that rhyme with their names. For instance, the gophers sit on sofas, Cat sits on a mat and hares sit on chairs. By the same logic, the Frog must sit on a log. However, Frog simply detests sitting on it. The funny play is all about what happens when the Frog takes charge. It tells the tale of the chaos that ensues following this event in the lives of these characters. How will the order be restored once again?
