Watch The Office! A Musical Parody

The Office! A Musical Parody is a must-see for those who have had a great time watching the TV series. The last episode of the US show aired in 2013. Seven years later, you have the opportunity to relive those moments. Seeing the characters go about their office life will give you a feeling of nostalgia as you try to recall scenes from the TV show. But, you won’t spend your time looking back because you will be busy watching an even funnier version of the series.

Who makes the show appetising?

If you are a fan of TV show parodies, you are probably familiar with the works of Bob and Toby McSmith, like “Katdashians The Musical”, “Friends! The Parody!” and “ShowGirl! The Musical”. The duo has also written The Office! A Musical Parody. The mixed-gender cast in this musical are great performers who do an amazing job of imitating the unique features of the characters. You will see Taylor Cordell, Andrew Wade as Jim and Andy, Michael Santora as Dwight Schrute and Sarah Mackenzie Baron as Michael Scott playing the lead roles.

The parody comes off as sarcastic, especially when it comes to what every character has said back in the day and how those things feel different as the culture is ever-changing and condemns homophobic, racist and sexist content. The play, however, does not stray away from its originality. Although it is a parody, nothing will displease the fans due to the clever scripting. Directed by Donal Garverick, this 1-hour-45-minute show is cleverly presented and will put you in the centre of all the fun right from the start.

The story

If you have watched the hit TV show, The Office, you know this performance is going to be fun. The Office! A Musical Parody brings you a comical representation of the popular series. Similar to the TV show, this musical highlights the lives of the Dunder Mifflin Company’s Scranton branch. It offers a synoptic storyline of the series’ 201 episodes while focussing on the show’s funniest and most unforgettable moments.

Michael Scott is the branch manager, an irrelevant and odd-natured man who lacks a mind-filter, yet does fine work at holding the team together. Dwight Schrute, the assistant manager and his fellow salesperson, Jim Halpert, do not get along too well. Schrute is obsessed with rules and does not like Halpert, who is in love with the mild-mannered receptionist Pam Beesly and supported by some of their co-workers. The musical takes into account the most defining moments of the story, such as the party planning committee’s shenanigans, the Dundies, the love story of Halpert and Beesly, the new management, the closing of a branch and more.

The Office! A Musical Parody will provide you with chunks of news like the latest works of every character and also highlighting how the same jokes don’t sound funny enough in the present social and political conditions. Whether you have watched the TV show or not, this parody simply cannot be missed!
