The Tina Turner story

Before the globally popular singer achieved success, she had to endure several hurdles. The Tina Turner musical Broadway starts by focusing on her life before fame. Watch how she started her musical career by adopting the name Little Ann during the 1950s. The story then moves on to 1960s. Giving audiences a glance into her personal life with husband Ike turner before showcasing the huge success she achieved at this time.

Domestic abuse and a slowly declining career led to her ugly divorce with Ike. Between 1972 and 1980, she struggled to stay afloat as most of her recent songs failed to impress audiences. However, Tina managed to turn the tide, coming back with hugely popular songs, such as What’s Love Got to Do With It and Let’s Stay Together.

The musical lasts 2 hours and 45 minutes and comprises of an intermission. The evening show starts at 7 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, this show begins at 8 pm. Matinee show options include Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2 pm and on Sundays at 3 pm.
