Jersey Boys returns to London at the Trafalgar Theatre
These four New Jersey boys opened their mouths, and out came a sound the world had never heard before! Their on-stage harmonies were perfect, but behind closed doors, it was a very different story. Frankie Valli, Nick Massi, Bob Gaudio and Tommy DeVito are the hit 1960s Rock ‘n’ Roll group the Four Seasons, and each season remembers the story in their own way.
This fantastic hit musical goes behind the music to tell their story. It won four Tony Awards, a Grammy, and the Olivier Award for Best New Musical.
Cast and Creatives
The West End run of Jersey Boys debuted at the Prince Edward Theatre in 2008, starring Glenn Carter, Phillip Bulcock, Ryan Molloy, and Stephen Ashfield. The production eventually moved to the Piccadilly Theatre in 2014, when the fantastic John Lloyd Young took up the mantle of Frankie Valli.
The musical features music by original Four Season member Bob Gaudio, with lyrics by Bob Crewe, and book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice.
The show is staged by the Tony Award-winning team of choreographer Sergio Trujillo and director Des McAnuff. It features costumes from Jess Goldstein, set design from Klara YZieglerova, lightning by Howell Binkley, projections by Michael Clark, and sound from Steve Canyon. The orchestrations are by Steve Orich with vocal arrangements and music supervision from Ron Melrose.
