Admire Auguste Rodin’s most renowned works

Situated near the Les Invalides, the Rodin Museum is a Parisian monument of great significance. It was launched in 1919 and is mainly dedicated to the works of Auguste Rodin, the famous French sculptor. The Musée Rodin comprises two divisions – a beautiful mansion from the 18th century and a garden of sculptures that covers approximately three hectares of land right in the centre of the capital. You will stare directly into the many finished and unfinished masterpieces of Rodin, provided by the Marble Gallery. This Gallery was established in 1971 as an exhibition area and a storeroom, making room for more works to be showcased in the Rodin Museum Paris. In the large sculpture workshops, the figures are by younger sculpting practitioners under Rodin’s guidance. The different marble models include monuments, portraits and other figures based on mythological subjects.

Stroll through the famous Garden of Sculptures

Within a vast 7.4 acre land, the vibrant garden accommodates Auguste Rodin’s invaluable works. The garden is home to most of the sculptor’s notable creations like The Kiss, The Thinker, and The Gates of Hell. During your visit, if you look closely at the Gates of Hell, you will see a smaller version of the Thinker and other sculptures you might have seen. A lot of the figures he made or was working on are put on display here.

The grounds comprise of a big ornamental garden on the southern side, and a gorgeous rose garden, on the northside of the Hotel. At the bottom, a hornbeam hedge and a terrace hold an area of relaxation. Two thematic walks offer a mesmerising feeling of contentment; the Garden of Springs in the west is abundant with water, while plants thrive among the rockery in the east, at the Garden of Orpheus.

Take your time to marvel at his artistry that decorates the plot. The garden contains benches and beautiful seasonal flowers. There is also a little cafeteria where you can take a break at for coffee or lunch. Once rested, you can continue your tour of the Rodin Museum Paris. You will surely enjoy yourself as you soak in the magnificence of the varied works of art, and leave with a refreshing feeling.
